Jul 24, 2019 · Yup. 16s are the smallest wheel you want to run and grinding the calipers is a bad idea. With a 3" lift you are going to need upper control arms and will likely have vibration that you'll be chasing. This is covered in the suspension forum here. If you're set on 33s (285/75/16) you're most likely going to rub on the cab mount.

285s are a metric size and are not true 33s...actual diameter is 32.7 inches (close enough). True 33s are wider as well as a slightly larger diameter and open up a whole new can of pain-in-the-ass when solving your rubbing problems. Actually, true 33's are not necessarily wider nor larger than a 285.
