So I played neopets back in the early 2000s.. I had lost my account over the years and tried to rebuild time and time again but always got discouraged. I have never unlocked and acquired all the secret lab map pieces. They were always ridiculous expensive.The av (and petpet lab av) alone is worth it for some people. I've also used it to zap PB clothes, although it's all based on luck. The stat gains are really imbalanced and IMO not worth it. Might be good for a starter BD pet but that's about it. I never had many "dreamies" so the lab helped me decide.It'll be really hard to get a specific colour zap. If a mutant draik is your goal, for the lab ray, you'd have to keep draik morphing potions on-hand to undo any species changes -- it's more likely for your species to change colour, rather than a colour+species change in one zap.There are 9 of them in Neopia. You can buy them from the Shop Wizard, or find them as a random event. The maps are valued between 7,000 NP to 9,000 NP, depending on the rarity of the piece. Once you have all 9 pieces, you can go to the "Treasure Maps" game and piece the whole map together. It will then show you the way to the Secret Laboratory.
